Everything I make sits somewhere between logic and feeling.

The top of this page is the part that answers to numbers — products, companies, decisions I can defend in a spreadsheet. The bottom is the part that answers to nothing but the room.

MELOMANIA

A live electronic series in Toronto — I book the artists, run the ticketing, and play the set.

Live sets

Original electronic sets performed under my own name, built for rooms rather than playlists. There’s no brief here, no user, no success metric, and nothing above this line applies. A set is a set of guesses about what a room will need in forty minutes’ time, made in advance, and you find out whether you were right when you’re standing in front of it. That’s the entire feedback loop. I spend most of my week making things that answer to numbers, and this is the one thing I make that answers to nothing — which is exactly why I keep making it.
